MARC ENGLAND



Marc England  studied Composition at Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA and Fine Art and Film Animation in Milian, Italy.   He continued his studies in Composition at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, Italy, with the renowned Film Composer Ennio Morricne (The Mission) and Animation under Cavandoli (La Linea) in Milian.  He won 1st prize in the St. John Bosco International Competition in 1988 and 1st prize in the Arte Design Tecnica competition in Milian in 1991.   His music was performed, together with an Exhibition of his Watercolours at the Peugeot Cultural Centre in Paris. He has also held the post of Lecturer at the University of Malta.
His Watercolours are featured in the Nicholas De Piro's book 'The International Directory of Artists who painted Malta'.   He is the author of a book of Cartoons entitled Camelogue, and his work has been published in various publications including Space on Earth by Charles Knevitt  (RIBA Trust Director).   His Music has been included in the repertoire of Tenor Joseph Calleja and Soprano Claire Debono.
Solo Exhibitions include the Fine Arts Museum, b'art gallery and St. James Cavalier Centre for Creativity.   His works were exhibited during Malta Week in Brussels 2010 and at the Auberge de Castille (ofice of the Prime Minister) in Valletta 2011.
