Jacqueline Agius was born to an artistic father, a draughtsman and artist and his talent seems to have rubbed off on her. Drawing as a child was never a difficult task. Following oil painting classes in St Joseph School, Blata and several courses at The School of Art in Valletta, her paintings evolved as the years went by. However, preferring watercolours she painted away at buildings and landscapes, refelecting her everyday life and surroundings at the time. Upon the birth of her two children, painting came to a halt. It was only many years later that Jacqueline started taking pride in her art and once again, with the help of a few well-known artists, discovered that finding new ways of expressing herself through art was very exciting indeed
